Located in Belfast, Prince Edward Island, Heartwood Guitar Care Services is a professional fretted instrument setup and repair shop run by Sean Hassall. With a lifelong interest in music, Sean began studying classical guitar in early adolescence and completed a diploma in music performance at Mount Royal College Conservatory of Music (classical guitar). These days, however, he has been following his passion for learning Jazz Standards for fingerstyle guitar.
Sean studied the rudiments of guitar making with Ted Brown at Blackwood Guitar Making School in Mallorytown, Ontario. He later completed his training at the Galloup School of Guitar Building and Repair in Big Rapids, Michigan. At present, his efforts are focused primarily on setup and repair work.
